Brivo B-BSPMF-W Smart Reader (Tri-Tech Mullion)

The B-BSPMF-W is the white mullion tri-tech reader — narrow enough for a glass mullion, an aluminum frame, or an elevator surround, finished white to vanish into light trim, and able to read old 125 kHz HID Prox on top of phones and smart cards. It’s the reader for modernizing slim-frame entrances in a building that still has prox cards in circulation: the new hardware goes on the mullions now, every old card keeps working, and people switch to Brivo Mobile Pass or encrypted smart cards on their own schedule. You don’t pick between “fits the frame” and “doesn’t strand the old cards” — this one does both.

The full set is here: Brivo Mobile Pass over Bluetooth and NFC, encrypted 13.56 MHz smart cards (B-SC, B-SCP) and B-SF fobs, legacy prox, and OSDP secure channel to the panel with Wiegand behind it. Same honest framing as the rest of the tri-tech readers — the encrypted smart card over OSDP is the strong credential, the old prox is the convenient, weaker one you keep just long enough to finish the migration. For a residential glass entrance that’s a sensible mix.

On the entrances and elevator cabs these readers tend to live, Bluetooth is what residents actually notice. Phone in the pocket, tap the frame; or unlock in the app; or turn on Face ID on a more sensitive cab — which a normal apartment elevator doesn’t need. It trades a little security for a lot of convenience, and at a building entrance that’s the right call, the one people use every day without thinking about it.

It works with any current Brivo panel from the ACS100-E to the ACS6000-E / 6100-E and keeps the multi-color LED, beeper, IP55 rating and −35 to 66 °C range of the line — fine on an outdoor gate mullion through a Chicago winter. The black version is the B-BSPMF-B. No prox to keep alive? The dual-tech mullion B-BSMF-W is the cleaner choice; and if a door needs a PIN — which means a single-gang body — see the keypad tri-tech B-BSPKF-W. The reader guide lays out all six if this is your first pass at the line. When you’re ready, we’ll come look at the frames.
