Brivo ACS6100 High-Density Control Panel
The ACS6100 is the big-system panel that shows up as a finished kit — the controller, the enclosure, and the WiFi antenna already in the box, instead of a bare board you build into your own can. Same platform as the ACS6000, just turnkey, which on a large job with a lot of doors and a real panel room saves a good chunk of bench time. Brivo’s own kits size it at six doors on the Regular chassis and ten or fourteen on the Large, and it grows from there: each two-door daughter board drops into a free slot, and when the chassis itself runs out of slots, an expansion chassis hangs next to it with eight or sixteen more doors’ worth of board space — so one panel room keeps scaling toward thirty doors and past it without anyone swapping the platform.
For an enterprise office, a hospital wing, a school, a campus building — anywhere the doors stack up — consolidating them onto one high-density panel is cleaner and cheaper per door than scattering small panels around. And it’s Brivo, so the whole thing runs from the cloud: no access server to host, with credentials, schedules and the audit trail replicated across at least three separate hardened servers (Brivo’s figure) and backed up behind that. We’ve salvaged more than one Paxton database after it gave out; that’s not a call Brivo has put us in. A facilities team runs every door from a browser — adds a contractor for the week, pulls a terminated badge on the spot, watches each opening live, secure or held, online or not.
The door side does everything a modern system should. OSDP v2 secure channel keeps credentials encrypted between reader and panel so nobody clones one off the wires, with Wiegand for legacy readers; phones on Brivo Mobile Pass and old 125 kHz prox cards work side by side; schedules unlock a lobby by day and lock it to fobs at night; and the panel ties into the fire alarm so doors release on egress. Add a Control ID unit and the vehicle gate runs off the same dashboard — handy on a big residential property. It connects over Ethernet with WiFi (that’s what the bundled antenna is for) and an optional cellular modem as backup, and if the internet drops it keeps every door running on its own and hands over the logs the second it’s back. It does not die without the cloud.
It takes 12 V DC, it’s battery-backup-ready, and it reads Brivo’s Smart Readers along with HID Signo / iCLASS SE and any OSDP v2 reader. We spec it for the larger access jobs around Chicago. Prefer the bare board to integrate yourself, or already standardized on it? That’s the ACS6000. Fewer doors spread across remote buildings? Distributed ACS300-E-B panels usually fit that better.
