Brivo B-BSPKF-B Smart Reader (Tri-Tech + Keypad)
The B-BSPKF-B is the one that does everything. Single-gang, matte black, with a keypad — and it reads the whole credential stack: Brivo Mobile Pass on phones, encrypted 13.56 MHz smart cards (B-SC, B-SCP) and B-SF fobs, legacy 125 kHz HID Prox, plus PINs at the keypad. If you’re standardizing a building on one reader so you don’t have to think about which door gets which model, this is usually it. It bridges an old prox installation and a modern mobile one, and it handles a two-factor door, all in the same part.
The keypad gives you the strict end of the range: a PIN by itself where a credential would be too much, or credential-plus-PIN two-factor where it counts — present the phone, fob, or card, then key the code. Pair that with OSDP secure channel back to the panel (encrypted, so nothing’s readable off the wires) and the encrypted smart card, and you’ve got about as locked-down as a single door gets. That’s the combination you want on a records room, a cash office, a pharmacy, an IT closet.
It also covers the easy end of the building. Drop the PIN at the front entrance and let residents tap with a phone in a pocket, unlock from the app, or require Face ID on the doors that warrant it; or just let them keep tapping the old prox card you haven’t reissued yet. The honest hierarchy holds — encrypted smart card and PIN are the strong combination, prox and plain Bluetooth are the convenient, lower-security legs — so you turn the security up at the doors that need it and leave the entrance simple. One reader, every door, no juggling parts.
It pairs with any current Brivo panel from the ACS100-E to the ACS6000-E / 6100-E, mounts in a standard 1-gang box, and the black face suits dark frames; the white version is the B-BSPKF-W. Don’t need the prox migration? The dual-tech keypad B-BSKF-B drops it; don’t need a PIN? The non-keypad tri-tech B-BSPSF-B is simpler. Multi-color LED, beeper, IP55, −35 to 66 °C for a Chicago winter. Keypad-plus-prox is a narrow slice of the lineup — the guide shows where it sits among the six. Get in touch if that slice sounds like your building.
