The HID ProxPro II 5455 is the newer-generation standard wall single-gang 125 kHz proximity reader from HID Global — replacing the original ProxPro 5355 in new installations with refreshed design, improved read range, and modernized housing. Wiegand output, IP55-rated for indoor and protected outdoor positions.
Most 5455s we put up are straight swaps. A 5355 finally quits after fifteen winters, every card in the building still works, and nobody wants to re-badge two hundred tenants — so the new reader goes on the same box and the same Wiegand pair. Twenty minutes a door, done.

- Phased migrations where Prox readers stay at lower-priority positions while Signo / multiCLASS go in at high-traffic positions
