When should I use an encoder instead of replacing cameras?
Encoders make sense when existing analog cameras are still functioning well and in hard-to-access locations (elevator shafts, outdoor poles, ceiling cavities) where replacement would be expensive. They let you modernize recording and management while keeping working hardware in place.
Do encoders reduce image quality?
