The Axis P3248-LVE is a 4K outdoor vandal-resistant dome camera from Axis Communications’ P3 series — for years a Chicago commercial standard on entrances, parking decks, and perimeters before being replaced by the P3278-LVE (and P3288-LVE) in the current Axis lineup. The P3248-LVE combines a 1/1.8” 4K CMOS sensor, 4.3–8.6 mm motorized varifocal lens (F1.5, 100°–53° HFOV), Lightfinder 2.0, Forensic WDR, OptimizedIR, IK10 / IP66 housing, and −40 °C operating range.
Status: Discontinued. Hardware / RMA support continues through Feb 28, 2028 and AXIS OS firmware updates continue through Dec 31, 2029.
