The 2N IP Verso 2.0 starts with a Full HD camera unit, and then you snap on exactly what your building needs — a keypad, a card reader, a touch directory, more buttons. No paying for features you'll never press, no missing the one thing residents actually use. That flexibility is why it's the intercom we put on more Chicago entries than any other.
Build the intercom your building actually needs
Most intercoms come as a fixed box: whatever's on the faceplate is what you live with. 2N went the other way. The Verso is modular — a main camera unit plus a frame you populate with the pieces that match how your building runs. A 12-unit walk-up gets buttons and a card reader. A 200-unit tower gets a touch directory and a keypad. A building going keyless adds Bluetooth so residents open the door with their phones.

And because 2N is owned by Axis Communications, the hardware quality matches the cameras we hang next to it — metal frames, sensors that handle lake-effect winters, and firmware that's still updated years after install. In retrofits we reuse the building's existing riser wiring wherever it tests clean, which is usually the difference between a weekend job and a month of drywall patches.
It also plays well with the rest of the stack: calls route to resident phones through the 2N app, the card-reader module ties into building access control, and everything runs over standard PoE on a properly segmented network.
